I wanted to explore the warmth of a woman who is the heart of her community. Secondly, I wanted to delve into the concept of "One More Moment" – imagining how one would spend another moment or day with a loved one. In the film "Mae's House," I hope to capture love, regret, and the profound connections that shape our lives. 

 

I plan to capture these themes by juxtaposing the past and the present. The story is told through Holly's perspective, both in the present and in the past. Cool tones in design and color will represent the sadness and regret Holly feels for not being there for Ms. Mae and not introducing her to her family. 

 

The warmth of the past will be portrayed through the use of wardrobe, makeup, and design in the flashbacks. Despite Young Holly's abusive life with her mother, the love and support she received from Ms. Mae set her on a better path, and this transformation will be depicted in the flashbacks.
